The Biography

On a snowy day back in March of 1983... Ok, to be honest, I have no idea if it was snowy, but I was born March 7, 1983. My parents were both 33. I'm the youngest of 3 children. Technically.

Since this is my bio, I can give the long version of the story. If you get specific, I'm really the youngest of 5, possibly 6 children. My brother Mike died at birth, and there was a miscarriage somewhere in there too. My sisters Tarri and Staci are alive and well. Then there's the possibility of a brother named Steve from my dad's carefree days before he went off to fight in the Vietnam war. DNA test hasn't been done, and I'm mildly bitter. DNA test is done. He is not my brother.

I met my first friend when I was about 1 1/2 years old. Her name is Amanda and she lives three houses down from me. We grew up together, faced a ton of life's struggles together, got each other through, and remain friends to this day. That's over 20 years.

School was never a big deal to me. I went, I got good grades, I came home. I did a brief bad student thing in 7th grade, but got pissed when I missed out on the honor roll party and never did it again. I was in advanced classes, even in math (which I hate).

My friends can be really stupid, but I'm unable to let go. The good ones tend to leave me for life at far away Universities, and I've learned to appreciate the time I can spend with them. One of my closest friends is Chris. We went through the whole "OMG! Are you two dating?" thing all throughout high school, but never fell into the trap it can sometimes lead to. I helped him through his mother's cancer, and he helped me through my math homework. Not a fair exchange, really, but I'm not bothered by it.

I'm a computer nerd and I have been since my early days. I don't remember not having a computer in my house. I loved my Commodore 64 computer, and I miss it very much. I get along well with computers. I have an Associates degree in Web Design/Development, but my time at the college didn't teach me anything I didn't already know.

Combining the topics of computers and friends, I've been doing the internet thing since I was 13 years old. At the beginning, I spent my time in a General Hospital chat room. That's where I met Cee. Cee and I are still friends, over 10 years later. She rocks, not only because she's still my friend, but because we tend to go through everything together from celebrity crushes to family problems. She helps me stay sane by showing me I'm not alone. And she has this awesome tendency to remember my birthday.

My biggest passion right now is auto racing. I grew up in a family that loves auto racing. My grandfather used to race against Johnny Benson, Sr. (Johnny Benson, Jr. being a current NASCAR driver). I started watching NASCAR races somewhere around 1996, but I didn't watch them regularly until 2003. I'm a loyal fan and I watch every race, now not only in the Cup Series, but in the BuschNationwide Series, too.

I'm not the best at these bio things, so if there's something you think I should add, feel free to email me at asil42@gmail.com
